Thomas Jaron Coombs

Boy did we have an awesome Easter this year. It doesn't get much better than getting to bring a new little life...a little miracle actually, into the world.

Early Easter morning (about 4am) our second oldest, Chase, woke me up to tell me that I had had an accident. I was so confused and couldn't figure-out what had gone wrong when about two minutes later (after I'd fully woken-up) I realized that my water had broken. Luckily my mom had flown in the night before (just in the nick of time) so I went to wake her up and tell her. I love my mom...the moment I said, "Mom, I think my water just broke," she started giggling and had a huge smile on her face and said, as she jumped out of bed, "Oh that's so great Christy"! It was a classic mom moment.

Anyways, Jer was at work so I called him and he came home and we went to the hospital together (I was sure that his driving alone would shoot little Thomas out)!

Not until 10 HOURS LATER did Thomas come. It was the most difficult delivery yet (no thanks to the the lovely Wilford Hall...it's a long story...) but it was definitely worth it.

Thomas was born at 2'35 pm and was 7lbs./2oz. and 19 inches long. He is simply PERFECT!

I remember when I was expecting Chase I was talking to my mom and I was so worried that I could love another child as much as I loved Miaja. Each of our children has proven to me how amazing love is that way. It just gets stronger and more powerful. I look at each of my children and my husband and want squeeze them all so tight! They are perfect and I thank God daily for each one of them.

Each of my children's births have a special connection for me...Thomas will always be my miracle, our miracle. I look into his little eyes and I see heaven...I really do.

I appreciate the amazing people surrounding me and my family. We are so blessed with family and friends that are incredible. I am especially grateful for my mom and all the love she gave my kids while she was here (not to mention the millions of other things she did in her "spare" time). I love you mom. I hope to be the kind of mom you are one day.

So here we go...the family of six. My oldest sister still teases that I always insisted I'd have ATLEAST twelve, well, Yvette, we'll see how we do with four!!! It's always an adventure!!!
