Happy Birthday Ayden

HAPPY BIRTHDAY A!!!
So today, (actually in about two hours), my crazy boy turns two and I can't believe it! As I put him to bed tonight I was looking at his adorable little hands. I love my kids hands and I love to look at them and wonder what will come next. When it comes to Ayden it is always something BIG! He has a big smile, a big temper, big jumps AND falls and, most importantly, a big heart.
Today during our little preschool, Chase and all of his friends came running in from playing out back and they threw their shoes off and headed upstairs for story time. As I turned to follow them up I saw Ayden out of the corner of my eye. He had sat down and with those chubby hands that I adore he was matching all the shoes up with their pairs and straightening them. That's Ayden.
I have to share my most recent "fav" as far as Ayden stories...He had the flu and Miaja had already had it so he had watched the routine. Towel on the bed, bowl by the bedside, cup of Gatorade on the dresser. Well, I had just cleaned him up after he had been sick and was taking him into bed. I had put a towel on his bed and placed a bowl down below his bedside. Ayden ran over to his bed and with a look of sheer insult he threw the towel on the ground THEN he spit in the bowl and THREW IT!!! You really have to know Ayden and his facial expressions but it was priceless!
Ayden loves anything loud, anything a bit crazy and anything that involves his brothers and sister.
I can't really pinpoint a favorite food because he likes it all. He LOVES to play ball and when he's got one you'd better watch-out!
Ayden has been a huge blessing in our family and to me. He is my cuddle when all the other kids are busy playing. He's my laughter when he has on his "cazy grin". He is a huge heart in a small, but growing too quickly, body. I love you Ayden. Happy Birthday!

We Love Grandma!!!

Grandma Vorkink's visit couldn't of had better timing! Not only did she make it just in the nick-of-time for Thomas' birth, she came just when we were in need of some of her! Mom always has a way of making us laugh and making everyone around her feel extra special.
I remember a time, when I was about eleven, that I had had a hard day. I went grocery shopping with mom and on our way home we passed a local fair. My mom HATED fair rides but she asked me if I wanted to stop and do a few rides with her. I had such a great time and I think my mom did too, that is until the TEACUPS. We stepped off the TEACUPS and her stomach let her know that it was time to go home. Even after getting sick she STILL had a smile on her face!
I am so thankful for you mom. From helping me feel loved to making life so fun you have always made me and everyone else around you feel extra special. I hope you have the greatest
mothers day.
Thanks for all you do!

Joy!!!

“As you create a home, don’t get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don’t dwell on your failures, but think about your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey.”

~Marjorie Pay Hinckley

I loved this when I read it!!! I am so grateful for my journey. I love who I am surrounded by and I am truly grateful for our journey...(well, maybe not COMPLETELY when I walk in from watering the garden and find Ayden trying to cut Thomas's nearly non-existent hair...but you get the picture).
